All Day I Dream About Taipei
It’s been a month and I’m still fantasizing about the brilliant things I saw, heard, and – most of all – ate in beautiful Taipei, Taiwan.
From crispy youtian dipped in sweet, hot soy milk to fresh, flaky dan bing filled with ham, cheese, and local basil; from towering and refreshing mango shaved ice to the most perfect gua bao on earth, three days in 臺北市 was a marathon of bite after unforgettable bite.
My plane had barely touched terra firma in hazy Hong Kong when I hopped onto WeChat and messaged my dear friend Charlotte, “So, when can I come back?”
